Its location between Lake Thun and Lake Brienz in the Bernese Oberland, along with the stunning backdrop of three towering peaks, the Eiger, Mönch and Jungfrau, has rightly made Interlaken famous for its impressive scenery. From here the rack railway takes you to the Jungfraujoch – the highest railway station in Europe. Both lakes have historic paddle steamers and there is an extensive network of hiking routes.
