Jungfraujoch Railway

Jungfraujoch Railway

Experience breathtaking alpine views, explore the Ice Palace, and visit the Sphinx Observatory at over 3,400 meters in a unique high-altitude world.
The Jungfraujoch Railway is one of the great engineering projects of the Swiss Alps, opened in 1912 after years of tunnelling through the Eiger and Mönch. It reaches the Jungfraujoch saddle at over 3,400 metres, where snow, ice and high-altitude views create a distinct alpine world. Attractions such as the Ice Palace and Sphinx Observatory add to the sense of arrival. The railway remains as much about the journey as the summit.
