Villa della Porta Bozzolo, near Casalzuigno in Lombardy, began life as a rural residence in the 16th century before being enlarged into an elegant villa by the Bozzolo family in the 18th century. Its Italian gardens are arranged in terraces with fountains and clipped lawns that frame views of the surrounding countryside. Inside, frescoes and period furnishings recall the estate’s more formal past. The villa offers a rewarding combination of architecture, decoration and landscape design.
