San Maurizio

San Maurizio

A charming Venetian spot featuring a music museum in a former church, antique instruments, and picturesque canals, offering a peaceful escape.
San Maurizio is a small but characterful part of Venice, known above all for the former church that now houses the Museo della Musica. The present Neoclassical structure dates from the 19th century, though the site itself is much older. Antique instruments and the surrounding network of canals and narrow streets lend the area a distinctly Venetian charm. It is a quieter stop close to some of the city’s busiest routes.
